Christmas in July 2012 Yay
Good afternoon my earlier post i labeled it in correctly. so here is my Christmas in July posting. Over at the Paperwishes message board we have a guest host challenge and this July I get to Host! :) so i decided to do a Christmas in July challenge, every year i feel in a rush to make my Christmas cards so in preparation of this grand event i thought it would be fun to try and make at least 1 a week or if i am lucky 2 every other week. LOL here are my examples for this challenge.
Craftroom and Flooring
Good afternoon every one it has been a while since i have been able to play in my craft room we have been doing some remodeling and we put down new hardwood flooring YAY i am so excited it will be so much easier to clean up the floors and so of course we had to paint the walls as we go so it now looks new and fresh. here is a pic of my crafting area.I still need to put my supplies back in order but most of it is in. we have to move stuff from room to room as we go so it is still a bit of a mess.LOL

How to make a heated flower
Cut circles with punch, i used color paper to match my ribbon, apply double side score tape to 1 side, cut ribbon about 20 inches long, cut little snips along ribbon do not go all the way thru ribbon.
apply notched ribbon onto taped circle using a fold as you go around the circle
continue around circle until all filled up, once you get to the middle i did use a few extra glue dots to fill in on the top.
this is what it looks like all glued down before heating with heat gun.
Heat up heat gun and take a tweezers or a poke tool (i could not find my tweezer) and heat around flower it will start to melt, be careful it is HOT, move heat gun until you get the desired look you like.
this is the little red one i started
the finished results add a little bling to the center or a button or nothing at all.
Type of Ribbon i used was the silky kind i have not tried any other kind.

Lacy stamp and dress
I just got a stamp kit from Gina K, super lacy borders i embossed them with cranberry and the other in copper. the dress stamp is from Paper wishes and the paper is from paper wishes. no the FLOWER. i just learned how to make these flowers using ribbon, so cool. i will see if i can post how to make them if any one is interested.
i think i went a little over board on the pearl swirls?

Wow i have been busy this weekend. whew but i sure have enjoyed it, i just learned how to make a pocket card (practicing for a card challenge) so her is my double pocket card with tags, i have a question for those of you that may happen along and read this how do you tie a nice knot on the tags? every thing i tried look bulky except a thinner ribbon but it was the wrong color and even then it looked like it wanted to come undone.
